Actually both are important according to situation but java is harder than python. So java can be more useful for interviews.... but in most of interviews, generally they ask you to use language which is better for , so learn python as it is eaiser than java

As python is the trending language... It increase your resume weight and helps you alot... Along with python, java is also one of the imp languages... Coz, it helps you in developing Android apps... So, both are important in my view... If you learn both.. No one beats you👍
