I can't type backslash because I can't find it on the keyboard.

Okay, try looking to the right of the bracket keys, thats where the backslash is? have you taken the picture?

And its not a permanent fix, but just use single quotes to wrap the string if you need to use double quotes Inside. then you dont have to escape
