Hi world. Since I started learning HTML I realized HTML <tags> don't have capital letters . Why is this so?

Jessica insensitive means it doesn't matter what case ... but marking your own answer as best answer is a negative behavior.

They used to. But why would they need it? Html had some turbulent years, now it is a standardized language. And like most computer languages it does not start words with capital letters. Read about the history of Html, XML and sgml, browser wars and Netscape if you are interested in details.

It really doesn't matter, an HTML element is an HTML element regardless of the case. You should be consistent in what you use. I personally use lower case 'cause I feel too lazy to press SHIFT and CAPS LOCK frequently.
BTW, HTML doesn't care if you use <table> <TABLE> or <TaBLE> since it is not CASE SENSITIVE
