Why isn't svg running on my browser??

Question

I'm currently learning html5 and i've gotten to the part about svg stuff. So i tried to do it on my laptop using notepad and I ran it in Google chrome and nothing happened. I tried it for like 3 other browsers and nothing still happened. Does it mean they don't use html5? Please help. Thanks 😊

Ohhhhhh😂
Sorry bruh...i just realized i opened the svg tag,wrote the dimensions and closed the svg tag. Then i started writing all the code for drawing a circle, then i closed it(the svg tag) again🤦. Sorry and Thanks Omkar😂
