article or header

Question

when do i use the article tag?
it seems like i could just use a header tag

these are specific html5 tags. you would use header when applying the header for a website. so the bar at the top(not the nav) is a header.
an article rage is supposed to serve as an extended p tag. Where you can ever a lot of text. but its supposed to have different attributes. another article tag would be the aside? not 100% on that.
these html5 elements have no built in functionalities so im sure you could wrap everything in footer tags and apply different classes to it. but we use the in the correct spots, as an assist to documentation.
