Analyzing peaks in python

Does anyone know how to prase the sound peaks of a song in python and return an object?

Make 4 or 5 buttons (also connect them to keyboard)
Make your own notes(A,B,C,..) for the song and sets the specific color for each note and make them to go through screen. If user click on button then play the specific sound for that key.
