python program crashed

i'm learning about linux commands and tried using them on sololearn. after using one of the commands my program crashed the app, does it give the same result for others? edit: do not run this outside of sololearn, this was meant to test what would happen when running it on sololearn. https://code.sololearn.com/cKi6V7UDViEJ/?ref=app

Ipang Don't worry. Sololearn's playground is safe. This is the best(and only) place where we can run such codes without fear. Nothing happens.

lvl 1 crook I've been unable to do it again. What about you? Maybe they saw your post and fixed the issue🤔... I think the crash is/was not due to the program self-deletion. Maybe it happens because the server is unable to send back the request status or stuff like that(i don't know, back-end is not my strength). Ipang I get your point. Others. I disagree if someone says: "hey let's try to hack sololearn and see what happens". The code by lvl 1 crook seems inoffensive from my point of view though. 🇮🇳Vivek🇮🇳 is right. Sololearn codes run on an isolated environment (Virtual Machine) not on the "real" server. If we delete the files we are actually deleting only our versions of those files.

Ipang i get what you mean, but sololearn runs the codes on the server, not through the app itself. so it is safe to assume that nothing wrong will happen on your device.

You're trying your luck writing malicious code?

Ipang i was learning about file directories, there was lots of files on sololearn that can't be accessed after changing directory. so i tried removing them all instead. the program might crash due to self-deletion of it's own program but i'm not sure about that.

lvl 1 crook If code runs on sololearn server. Then it will be more dangerous. I mean if you do something wrong with server. It will effect all the users connected to that server.

Kevin ★ I don't exactly know how safe it is, I hope it is though. However for something like what was written in that code, I'd prefer the author to mess in their own machine. Many users are using and relying on this platform, I don't like to think about what happens when something should go wrong - sacrificing the many for some idea or curiosity.

lvl 1 crook It is a good idea to think about the possibilities and how things may affect others by what we do ...

Kevin ★ Yes my concern is around that matter. I was not trying to act like am something or what. I'm just one of many people sharing the use of this great place. I guess I'm just not too comfy thinking something should go wrong with it, it's where I "hangout" 😂 lvl 1 crook I hope my comment did not offend you, I meant not for it that way actually. Maybe I was late for lunch and got hungry 😂
