where can I download a c++ compiler? I tried using code blocks but the compiler does not work when I download. (please help :)

what version of code blocks did you download? Also(not trying to sound like a dick), why are you thinking the compiler isn't working? if you could post an error we might be able to get you up and running.

thanks. no problem haha.I have to check when I get home on which version. I followed the steps from the first tutorials on this app. the error said something about the compiler.

if it's saying compiler not found you might have downloaded a version without the gcc compiler. The link on the download section for codeblocks (assuming windows), you'll want the one that says mingw32-setup.exe it comes with the compiler.
