Whats the best coding language for creating websites?

I was browsing the code playground and saw a bunch of html stuff. I've never coded on html before, only java and python. Any tips? Is it that complex? I hope its complex so i have freeroam to do as i please while learning it

Arsenic just started it, going to experiment, maybe try some javascript, too, since I know a bunch of java (although I heard they're two different animals so ill have to just see what its about)
