Why does node.js have a dot before the JS whereas ExpressJS and AngularJS don't?

I think that ExpressJS and AngualarJS wanted to optimze for domain names.

Good marketing is same product name as domain name

There is no .js domain prefix.

I think there should

node.js did a bad job with their domain names

for, ExpressJS and Angular, you just have to add .com or .org

node.js > nodejs.org

expressJS > expressjs.com

AngularJS > angularjs.org

Honestly, it's just the creator's choice. Some people like Thing.js. Others like ThingJS. And still others like Thing.JS.

I get that that isn't a very helpful answer, but that's sadly the truth.
