How many XML files can one Android app contain and minimum?

Your app can contain many XML files as required by your app, whether it's layout, anim, values or menus.

AndroidManifest.Xml is for controlling your apps permissions, activities, revicer and so on.

You can get rid of XML if you want to do all the layout designs programmatically, but using XML would be the best choice, easy and maintainable.
