Why do I get followers by being inactive?

Seriously joined the site, did a few exercises, even wrote a question, read others and answered one. Still get random followers who don't even share my coding language. When I challenge them, they won't respond. What is going on here? Are these robots following everybody?

Yeah right but why follow a practical newbie in Sololearn? I can't see much sense. There must be people more interesting to follow.
Also, Is there any way for me to message all followers to ask them directly?
