What's your opinion about kali linux for a programmer or web developers?

For the last couple of months, I was thinking about moving to Linux from windows. Around 2-3 weeks ago I made my move and choose Kali OS for my journey. As you people know, nowadays there are so many options available for Linux. Some are old and some are new. Also, a couple of them have advance use. Like: kali for pen-testing.
As I mentioned before I'm using kali. Yeah, I indeed have no intention of pen testing at moment (not sure about the future). The main reason behind this is this is older than other OS like mint, ubuntu, etc. Also, it has a big community of advanced and qualified users. And so many more.

For a pen tester, yes. For a web developer, probably not.
