C++ Lesson 56. It is not clear how the method is supposed to work.

Question

In C++ Lesson 56, the essence of the method is not clear. I looked there to add numbers 42, 2, 8, 128 using the method.
Is that one person with number 42?
Or is the addition of 42 people?
Please, help.

The add() function should add an element to the back of the queue.
