Reverse a String (Java)

Question

Hey Guys,
i know this is the right code for reversing a string but i don't understand why.

import java.util.Scanner;

public class Program
{
public static void main(String[] args) {
Scanner scanner = new Scanner(System.in);
String text = scanner.nextLine();
char[] arr = text.toCharArray();

//your code goes here

String rev ="";
for (char i : arr)
rev = i + rev;
System.out.println(rev);
}
}

Where is the Point the scanner puts the String into the Char Array ?

Iam nearly new in Java and don't understand this...
