FoxyProxy's implications

I understand that foxyProxy makes your pc to be the proxy server so you can see the web responses and your requests before they reach you or the web server. (fix me if I'm wrong).

But does it make my pc the proxy server of the whole LAN? And affect other devices on my network?

Jazz so can you walk me through the process of what it is doing and the relation between foxyproxy and burpsuite?

Jazz so by turning on the foxyproxy, what connection is being established? Between my pc and burpsuite (which is the proxy server, when it's open), and also between burpsuite and the web server that I communicate with?

That way I can look in burpsuite and view any request and response?
