What should be the procedure of learning in solo learn?

Question

Whenever i try learn something like programming, i just forget what i have learned yesterday. I forget all the function, data type, i just get puzzled whenever i try to practice any code?
Those who are experienced can you please tell me how should i approach? What will be the procedure when i am learning any new programming language?

This is my problem too.
I go through a lot of stuff. Sadly, it's because of the nature of my work. I do complete Full stack development. From UI , Backend, Databases, to cloud deployment. There's a lot to take in can't remember everything.

Taking Notes help me a ton.

It's like indexing in Databases but for our brain.
By making notes, I tell my brain "Hey, this stuff is more important than the tik tok video you saw few mins back. So don't forget it"

But the most powerful feature of notes is revision.

MongoDb queries syntax was giving me hard times and I kept forgetting them until I made a solid handwritten note. After that even after months revision was just few seconds of page turning and the concepts were good as new in my brain.
