There should be instructions for that with the router.

Is it really a router, as in it monitors traffic & has configurable ports?

Or is it just a network switch, lots of ports but no brains.

Or is it a modem, like a VDSL modem?

The answer to all of those is: find the installation manual (or contact the internet provider), then read & follow the instructions.
