Kotlin current version

Sololearn, why are you using such an old version of Kotlin (1.4)? The current version of Kotlin is 1.7

Did the core language change?
Does the basic fundamentals still work in 1.7?

Some functions are already deprecated.
For example, readLine() - which is used in many theoretical questions has changed.
readLine()!! - no longer used
readln() - used now (since version 1.6)
