Question on Servers

What if a computer hosting as a server for a company website is not connected to the internet or disconnected due to some issues Does that mean that the website can’t be accessible by a computer client still is back on the internet? Or How does it work?

Yes, in case the server goes offline, then the website can become inaccessible. Huge tech companies like google, have many servers that are able to provide the same type of service. There is a "load balancer" in front of them, which directs the query to an appropriate server that is available. Often, the different servers are physically separated, they can be even in a different country or different continent. This can give the company some guarantee that even in a disaster event such as an earthquake or power outage, their service will still be available from an alternative location. There are technologies to create mirror images of databases too in real time, so a backup is always instantly available. But in scenarios where this is not critical, a regular (hourly or daily) backup of the data is archived, so the business can restore it in the event of a disaster.

Mostly server runs 24*7 but sometimes it can be down so in between your website will not be accessible. Hosting server providers can also have backup plan means they can switch your website to another server which may locate on another place so in this case your website will be accessible.
