Should i use rust?

Question

I like rust because of all of its cool features that I was about to use it.But the community made me turn away.Some of the people made it seem like rust was the perfect language and i have only heard of pros from them,never any cons.I started in C++ so i have a natural bias towards it but their community was the only one where i felt defensive. I mostly saw this on reddit,so that may be why i got a bad first impression.I want to use it but i can't get myself to because of what i saw the community was like.

No language is perfect. In the systems programming space, Rust is a newcomer with many innovations and very different mechanics than what C and C++ programmers are used to. So suspicion and aversion against the New, can be expected. There will always be haters.

You are saying that you like Rust. So my advice is to look for a like-minded community who like it just as much as you. No reason to give too much credit to random opinions on reddit or anywhere else. Try it, use it, experience it on your own. If you discover its limitations and drawbacks, you can still decide that the benefits for you still outweigh the disadvantages. No two programming tasks are exactly the same, and what works well in one scenario, may not in another.

Not finding a good community is not a reason to not learn anything. Learning is a personal journey.

Thanks for the responses.I think i will at least try rust now.see how it feels.the error messages in rust look beautiful.
