C is arguably the most influential programming language of all time. It laid the foundation for modern programming, inspired countless languages (like C++, Java, and Python), and is still widely used for system programming and performance-critical applications. Its influence is unparalleled in shaping the tech landscape. So in my opinion, it would be C.

The most influential language of all time is arugably Fortranand Assembly for laying the groundwork of pretty much ALL languages, some other contenders are C and C++, which laid the more modern groundwork (Object oriented programming, etc.), but in reality, Fortran and Assembly laid the true groundwork and C and C++ laid the more modern features of coding languages

It was C and java back then now it's mostly Phyton.. maybe last of its kind Cause Probably we don't need any new programming languages because of all the the AI advancements in progress. prompting is the new influential programming language.

I think Python would eventually take the lead especially with the prevalence of AI and LLM. I THINK By the year 2050, prompting would be prevalent in 90% of PROGRAMMING activity which would then be at the reach of the majority of people without the need to understand what we call "under the hood". It's like driving cars no need to know mechanics.
