Do the certificates of completion of courses here have any real value?
Hey folks, colleagues, staff... I am thinking it'd be probably best to ask before diving deep into some programming languages a couple things. I will post each question as a separate one. Do the certificates of completion of courses here have any real value? What format are they delivered upon aquiring (lossless SVG or PDF / limited PNG / lossy JPG, etc.)? May I assume I can use them in CV, or whatever place without having trouble with licensing? Thank you! Cheers, Vlastimil

Vlastimil Burián the Sololearn certificates only represent a beginner skill level. If you hope for a certificate that is worthy to show employers, I think that you should aim higher after going through the tutorials here.

I think Freecodecamp certificate would be worthy

I don’t think they are considered professional or advanced enough for employers to care about them. Personally, I would not put it in a CV.

For fun or additional? Maybe.
I personally just collected them from different platforms with different difficulty levels, but in my real CV I'd never use one, because it feels somehow unprofessional to me.
Which is a pity in some ways, because I got to know some (if not many) programmers who are pretty far away from the (sustainable and complete) knowledge of an advanced course certification by the more reliable code-learning apps and work at big companies.
The thing is, sooner or later in almost all of them you can somehow click threw it, cheat threw it or AI threw it (because simply no one controls it).
So in the end they aren't worthless, but the only one who is really able to evaluate if you deserved them, is yourself.

Or take a look at... Brian here for example: -31 (− 31) following? THAT'S impressive. ;<|D
