<div> versus <figure>

Question

I know the differences between them, I just would like to know if there is another good reason why we should use <figure> instead of <div> . Is it only because it is better to write semantic code? Any other advantages in practice? Thanks!

we can add a caption to the image by figure with <figcaption> tag
