Where can I find a java tutor?
I'm trying very hard to understand java classes but keep drawing a blank. Why are there so many? Its like Skittles, so many but in one bag!

I'm trying too. with c#...
have you tried reading and understanding the concept, slowly, then putting aside the tutorial, and try coding without referring to the tutorial.
And when you make a mistake, you refer to the tutorial, put it aside again and code?
Try it, fail, try again, fail again....
until you succeed :
coz once you get the classes stuff right,
all other concepts are a piece of cake! :-)

Here is the issue, my brain only wants to remember what it wants to. I feel like I know the answers and how to do java but then I get a brain fart and I get stuck. I have certs from W3Schools but now I'm trying to add java to my skills but find it hard

all learning takes time ,read everything you can even if you do not understand, copy short codes,,modify codes, execute the programs, embed lines with print commands, writeln commands,system.out.println commands, according to the programming language sintaxis you use,so you see variables until the program finished, add print commands marking when it starts and when the program ends, so you see when it fails, where it fails, and what or who fails, otherwise the code will be a box in which you only see what data enters and what data leaves(gets out)but not the content of what the program is processing, excuse me i don't speak english

There is another option. You can learn Java on coursera.org for free but your assignments would not be marked if you don't pay. However, you can request for financial aid in order to do the course and get Assignments marked without paying. It's also not interactive, you'll have to learn from a tutor through videos.

You can learn Java interactively on codeacademy.com too. It's more detailed there.

I already did codecademy, actually I went further on there than here. That site doesn't cover java in detail, they skimmed through it. Sololearn is covering the whole enchilada.

I think you should try "tutorial point" and if you really serious about java then buy "Programming in Java",Oxford Publication, author:Sachin Malhotra and Saurabh Choudary(I don't know where are you from and this book is available in your country or not but you can check it in amazon).
All the best.Keep Coding😊😊😊😊
