Is it true that a programmer has a very short life span?

Some of my buddies told me that because programming is a total brain work, so beyond the age of 40, brain capacity starts declining. Thus, a programmer can max. survive his/her passion to the age of 45 and after he/she has to relinquish any work involving programming. Yes, he/she could become a teacher of programming. What you say about all conversatiin above?

In my opinion Age doesnt matter at all. Attitudes is what matters. You can be very young and not want to learn something new same as an old person. That being said I believe creativity and wisdom increase with age. Both essential traits when it comes to being an effective programmer. It's not true at all, but ageism in the field is more omnipresent. Still, it is up to you how train you brain to be young. As long as you have a good piece of logic brain over your shoulders and zest to learn & adapt new technologies, you will always find you place in programming world. Well teaching is one of the noble activity. We got best teachers that's why we are here. Because of them, we have best doctor, best engineer and so on around us. Secondly while teaching you learn more than when you were a mere trainee.

So, eventually, age is just a number. All you have to do is believe and to stick with your passion and you can survive with it.
