C++ and C# are very powerful and fast
java is good because its very portable, you can write and compile once and execute everywhere, also java is good for Android development.
for web programing php largely used as a server side programing language, html and javascript is used as a client side web programing.
python is becoming popular now days

c++ is basically c but it adds OOP principles to the language. And it provides a lot of freedom for the programmer. However, it is more prone to allowing errors to occur from the programmer. When they created c++, one of their philosophies of the language was to assume that the programmer knows what they are doing. Therefore, the compiler tends to be a little laxed with its warnings compared to other languages like Java.
