Supercookies - is resistance futile?

Just learned about supercookies and evercookies. Seems like there is no realistic way to defend against them or remove them. Can this be true?

It is true and clearing them is not the option. It requires a legal system of protection, not technical. Anything, I say anything done without the user's explicit consent ought to be deemed illegal, that's the only way if we want not to become products ourselves.
