Why hackers use Linux instead of unix

I have a question why hackers use Linux instead of Unix, Linux and Unix are similar to each other so why they use Linux

In simple words

UNIX - is the mother of linux, mac, windows etc..

Linux with different flavours (ubuntu, kali, mint) made the user interface easy to understand with GUI so we choose linux

commands in UNIX and linux are almost similar

Because linux has more feature (hacking tool) and more flexible than unix.

Linux is used because Linux provide kernel and drivers only, but Unix is a complete OS it includes kernel, drivers and framework also ( like ui, etc). it is harder to implement custom frameworks in Unix. on the other end linux is loosely coupled with third party Framework that means peoples can implement their own frameworks with OS.
