Is Java script best for making a social media app?

Question

I want to make a social media app like Instagram and Facebook, is Java script the best script for it? if not what is? I'm just a beginner by the way so nothing to complicated!

javascript runs in the web browser you can use it with html and css to make web apps i don't recommend that they are very slow, instead you can make native apps for ios using objective c,swift and for android you can use java for windows use c,c++,c#
as you can see there's a lot to learn so why don't you start small

You can use PHP as a BackEnd and Javascript as a FrontEnd.
MySQL as the Database and CentOs(GNU/Linux) as the Operating System.
Is called LAMP Stack!
