Although there are competitors and alternatives of google but still there is no competent who is more than half of what is Google.

For example think of just android, it is dominating the world and no other is more than 20% of what is Android today.

Yes, I can imagine it, all the more because I have lived it (Google and internet are not as much old than me ;P), and because economy and capitalism will disappear before humanity and almost life ^^

You can use any other search engine like duckduckgo and many others but they are limited to only that.
But Google is multi dimensional all your basic needs of smart phone are fulfilled by One ie GOOGLE (search engine, map, youtube, video calling, Android, drive, photos, gmail, gmail+, weather, music player, movie player and lot more)

Well, remember it's just a search engine (except if we're talking about Alphabet). It's probably the best search engine, but one can live without it.

Like anything, there are competitors, and some people live without Google... either having no internet in 3rd world countries, or preferring something else like Bing or Duck Duck Go.
