It's actually not that bad. The things you should do is go through your notes, and start making small programs, then if you feel comfortable start making bigger programs and tools that will/might help you. Before you know it you'll have a program you can offer the school and they can buy it from you :D

if you are asking how much time will it take you to start writing small codes then I can say if you start from scratch with any programming language, then it will take 2-3 weeks in clearing your basics and after that you can write small programs. but that will not make you a good programmer. for that u have to have good grasp of the programming language, concept of algorithm and data structure, and many more concepts like code management, github, etc and also a lot of practice.

if you completed all the things which I have already mentioned in the previous answer then congrats you are now a programmer and can start working as a freelancer. to become a programmer you need to practice more than study. If you think you have enough knowledge then contribute in open source software . that will give you enough experience.

I mean, you don't have to sit behind your computer and study everything word for word. You can start a project and as you get stuck you can search it up on the internet and get an answer, that's how you learn. Next time you'll use it again and you'll remember it in the future. You need to study it because you WANT to. Not because you have to. I spent 4-5 months studying a book of C# in the end I was fluent but I didn't know what to do. So I started doing projects, went back to the book and the internet for help. After a few months I didn't need the book anymore, and I started making projects that I really enjoyed.

You have a lot of experience already. I began studying c++ only two weeks ago so I'm not good at it at all yet, but I like it, maybe now I am able only to create a calculator 😂 but I know that it's just a beginning of a long studying period before I will do some projects in my own. I think the most important here that I enjoy it, everything else is secondary .

10 000 hours it's time for becoming a professional in your area, I read about it too, but I told about becoming an average programmer)
