Absolute beginner, is this where I should start?
So, I need to take a C++ class and heard it is easier to start with python? I have never programmed anything and am not sure what some of these exercises are doing, or what they mean. Is there something like a basics course for me to familiarize my self with what I am doing? Thanks,

Best advice, do not rush.
It does get a bit easier when you get past the new concepts, but grasping fundementals does take time.
Take strings as an example, they are just a collection of characters (or char)

These are the basic courses.
Are you going to be doing c++ in school?

ooo If you are starting c++ in school, don't stress to much they won't start with advanced topics.
I would get a head start and just start the c++ course. but that is me.
The desired outcome of the current slide you are on is for you to understand what strings are and how to use them.

It'll be better if u start with C because u won't understand few concepts of C++ if u don't know C . It is a bit difficult but once u acquire the flow and learn C no other language will seem difficult.

Thanks Nirmil, I am hoping for exactly that. I will take a look at C.

u can try some other application to learn C++ . Beacuse in Solo learn u need to have atleast some idea . U can use programming hub and it'll be bttr if u make your own notes and write the codes in computer as well.

Yes. I have a C++ class starting this fall and want to familiarize myself with programming before I fall flat on my face in class. I am currently on 'strings' in the first module and am not sure what we are doing, what to goal of the exercise is.

well, I failed there.. I have also started the C++, and it is alien to me. I am sure they won't start with advanced stuff in class, but I can't even get past the easy stuff here..
