What is a Visual Studio Community Edition alternative for Ubuntu users?

I've started C# course, and I'm looking for an IDE for Ubuntu. Could you suggest an alternative? Install guide would also be appreciated. Thanks.

I've heard engineers at Microsoft speak good of IntelliJ IDEs from JetBrains. I like it too. I have never used visual studio.
