What is the meaning of syntax in java?

According to me each and every programming language (in this case java) has its own way of arranging TOKENS for some specific tasks, and this way if arranging is called syntax.
"I am correct or not" ??

I think syntax is just the rule of formatting your code so that it is recognized by the Java compiler. It defines keywords, operators, ordering, etc.
