It's like trying to be a civil engineer without knowing physics/maths. We have a lot of hacker-wannabes, and the answer is the same - You have to start from the basics. Hacking is not something you can master after finishing a few chapters, or even a few books. You have to be proficient in a number of languages and understand how a number of operating systems work.

For a Hacking Course, you must have some basic knowledge about:
1)Different types of programming language.
2)Networking
3)About working of various operating system like linux/ unix / windows, etc.
If you want to be a certified ethical hacker than you should go for the CEH Exams ( Certified Ethical Hacker).
