AngularJS, AJAX and AppML

Question

I was looking through w3schools and in the menu under JavaScript it says you can learn AngularJS AJAX and AppML. What are these for? Is it worth it to continue researching them?

AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML and holds a set of web development techniquies and is basically used to interact with database dynamically to fetch data without reloading the webpage using JavaScript and php .
