for Web solutions i suggest html+css+javascript+php

for windows desktop csharp or c++
for any platform desktop java and c++
for linux i strongly recommend python

if you feel you are not ready for h-weight go make challange at light-weight belive me step by step will help you climb without fear but as a beginner if you start c++ / java or csharp it may break your will a little bit. so python will be your best friend here and also for Web 100% php and js
