Uses for PHP

I was wondering about uses for PHP? Thanks!

I can give you an example with cars:)
Html is like body of the car
Css is like style, shape, color and... Of the car
But php is like engine of this car
With out engine you just have a beautyfull car which is can't move and it's useless

You can use php for lot's thing such as interacting with Mysql database, using for taking informatio from html forms, working with files, interacting with other services and api and etc
