Which is better server side scripting language? What u think PHP or any other??

Do you mean out of the web stuff, so?

@Akshai, i prefer PHP because of his popularity (+80%) and because it is used by Wordpress, anyway i'd like to see Node.js and/or Django gain more popularity.

Learn Python will be always a good investment of your time because of his functionalities, but not in my case... i want to focus myself on the web and i have to admit that PHP is the most used Server Side language, at least as long as Wordpress does not replace it, is that possible? Who knows that...? 😁

Yes Pikachu, although PHP is widely used it's only a server side programming language. Although you can make it run on the client side, it's not really good for anything other than database management.

Python however, can be used effectively server side and client side. You can create your own programs and games and it has a lot of modules available for you to do a lot with.

Nope, i meant... you said Python can be used in the Client Side, did you mean non-web related stuff, right...?

Python would be best, it's more powerful. Combine that with Django and then you'll have a very secure website.

Yes, that's what I meant @Maz. ☺ I'm not saying that we shouldn't learn PHP, I'm just saying that Python is a better language than PHP because it can be used for the same things and more.

My opinion on learning PHP is, learn it so that you know it because in reality, it's what has the most available freelance jobs currently.
