no, you don't have to finish it but it is recommended so you are prepared for the questions. you should wait until you are confident. :)

I think it is better to finish your course first. The challenges cover the whole content of the course and getting questions about modules you haven't finished yet adds nothing to your learning. Use the playground to practice instead.

I don 't think you can answer this question for somebody else. Do whatever feels good for you. Or try one or two challenges to see if like it.
