Why is every example for Javascript math related?

I'm about half way through the Javascript section but am becoming slightly frustrated that I'm only seeing examples using math...I know Javascript can do more than solve a simple math question using ridiculously useless equations but im not seeing any which is making it VERY difficult for me to see Javascript being used in other ways. on Khan Academy...they have a JavaScript program that works on drawing...how are these too programs that use the SAME language so different?

Many coders here are very new, like: When I first started coding I was just learning basic math, and there was nobody to tell me how to save my work...so I typed my codes over again every day...with 2 fingers. Middle school is the level I mean (I was in gradeschool)...just figuring things out, like "don't plagiarize" and logical thinking, where learning how math works teaches you how the overpowered calculator in your hand works. People have noticed the math but I think it's level-appropriate. What you're doing is next-level stuff (I've met Khan Academy's founders; they're targeting high schools). That level's regularly out in Trending codes; members also signed up to generate new lesson content (just ask). My hope is that the new content gets some air under the wings of people ready to move up.
