Is it really necessary to give jee and get into iit ...or other better options

Better work hard for jee and get into IIT. Other option is doing engineering from a normal college and then give GATE to enter IIT. But remember GATE is much tougher than jee.

and thts why...
only 30 percent of non iit graduates persuing masters in iit get chances in biggest MNC's
where around 70 % of iit graduates easily make positions in those giant tech companies...
Gate is all india exam for 70 % colleges of india
iit-jee is all india exam for only 8 iit colleges

jee is far more tough
