How do the Sololearn challenges work?

What could a challenge look like? I'm a little afraid of starting one without knowing what I'll have to do... And how much experience would you recommend before trying?

@Sephina - throw a challenge at me I will decline it. That way you can see what it's like and you will not loose any XP. I currently accept JS, C# and Ruby 😃

if you have no knowledge it's better to finish a course and then start challenges... a challenge is made of 5 questions (rounds) and questions can be about pure theory, fill in the blanks or guess the output... try, it's fun!

I think you are far enough in Java to try a challenge, if you are curious. You select a language first, then a opponent,. After that you get five questions about the language you chose. You get about 20 seconds to answer each question. Finally you wait for your opponent to answer the same questions. The person who did best wins.
