What is average learning time?
I want to know what is the average time of learning a programming language. And if we already know one or more languages how much time is reduced in learning other languages?

for basic syntax for a newbie to start thinking like a programmer can be a few months. If you already know a language you could learn basic syntax of another in days. To really learn a language very well can take years, it takes a while to get that experience.

i've started this whole full stack thingy on may the 15th. it took me 15 days to figure out the first basic algorithm challenge. today i'm solving 1 per day. along with my regular job and life stuff. hope "tomorrow" to solve them as fast as the the second here, that super-fast-indian-fella coder. 👊

there are 2 ways you can learn.....slow with a good retention rate .....or fast with a bad retention rate. our brains are use it or lose it....
if you learn the alphabet by saying a to z over and over again you will not get all the letters remembered well till you can say all the letters a-z together well -that is slow learning with good long standing retention.
if you break the a-z down to abcdefg and repeat that till you have it well and then add hijklmnop after and do the same now for hijklmnop compounding everything as you go you will have learned a-p memorized in a rapid way but since it was rapid you will also lose some of that info JUST AS RAPIDLY unless you continue to reinforce it by repeating often what you have learned quickly
