2017 has been the best year of my life!!! Anybody thinking the same thing?? Or opposite?? just tell me stories!

Lot of death and suffering. Other than that, not too bad. Was able to move my fam into a new house, and got to go spend a few weeks in Colorado with my wife. Been making a lot of progress on my indie game company, as well as my "day job." Umm.... Got Plat II on Rainbow Six Siege. That was dope. :D

As you can see by my post, it's been a rough year, but you can't forget the blessings of your life, even in your moments of feeling defeated. There is so much beauty all around us, all of the time, and we have to take time to stop to praise all of this.

I didn't want to make this thread a pessimistic one but, one of the most important things that I have learnt in my short life in this world is to COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS. I was born and raised in India but live in the United States now and unfortunately most people here don't realize how friggin blessed they are here.

Once people realize the everyday things that they take for granted are a luxury in other parts of the world, the number of people complaining about their situation would drastically diminish.

2017 has been a year of self discovery for me. I've learned what it means to care for yourself and I've learned to be grateful and value the relationships around me. I'm thankful for my family and for everyone around me that loves me and that I love back. I feel blessed. And I sort of feel calm, even though sometimes I still feel sort of lonely. But the feeling doesn't last for too long.
