What do you mean by frontend and backend developer?

This is a personal opinion, in no circumstances should it be referred as a true definition. The job descriptions listed are far from complete, but covers most of the idea.

A front-end developer is responsible for design of user interface, user interactivity, first level data validation, and passing data to back-end layer.

A back-end developer is responsible for business logic, database manipulation, query optimization, statistics data generation, management (decision making) information generation, and passing data back to front-end layer.
