Don't use deprecated stuff, avoid code duplicates, learn popular libraries and frameworks (Vue.js, React, Bootstrap, jQuery, Symfony, Laravel), learn how to use API.

First of all... you have to ask yourself why do you want to be a good Web Programmer, the answers might be:

1. To get a job
2. I love what i'm doing

In the first case, you can practice what you learned and make some projects to build a nice portfolio, no need to be focused about not-needed and/or boring theoric concepts, you need just the basic skills to be employed.

In the second case... do the hard stuff in the hardest way.

Maybe it will make sense for you later on your studies, but there's a big difference between "do what you have to do" and "do what you want to do", in the second case, you can't just practice what you learned, it's not enough... you have to study as much as you can, also "programming unrelated" topics, just because you like what you're doing and you want to fully understand it.

Practice, practice and more practice. Dont just waste time to think open editor and let's have a go. Make problems for yourself and try to get around them. You'll see you get better over time.
For inspiration see others code learn from them but be innovative.
