i am looking for some free to use sprite editors to design characters for a game im making, i have used piskel but i wanna try something with a little more to work with.

try www.piskelapp.com its got all the stuff you need for sprite creation.

hmmm, stuff like more angled rotation, positioning, and tools in general i guess. piskel just feels to limited.

Hmmm… I don’t know what to tell you then. Most editors that have advanced tools like this, cost money.
