More XP for PHP challenges than for C++ challenges?

Am I right to notice that PHP challenges earn me much more XP than C++ challenges?
If so, what is the reason behind this?

@Victor that's because you just started to use PHP as weapon, after some challenges you'll get less XPs in this language too. :)

It doesn't look like it's related to the level. C++ matches usually give <10 XP while PHP and HTML matches often give like 30 XP.
